Heartbroken Dolls

Heartbroken1-WMI finished up the second in this series of Valentines Dolls today. Both of these sad little sweethearts got a lot of positive feedback and only one is still available. I had wondered about how people would react to my more solemn take on this day of romance. Valentine’s day is a day that comes with a whole slew of mixed emotions. Spent most of the day today working on this new dolly. I got to use my new pastels along with some paint to give her a face. More tomorrow and possibly the day after, then hopefully I’ll be able to get a photo shoot done and list her. She’s the second of my Valentine’s dolls, a series I’m calling the Heartbroken Dolls. As soon as I finish this one up and get some pictures I plan to share with you my thoughts behind creating these sad little dolls.

Happy New Year – Looking Back, Looking Forward

Well, today is the first day of the new year and I have to say I am really excited for what 2015 has in store. I’m not a fan of new year’s resolutions, but I do like to set myself some goals each new year, along with plans to meet those goals.
